TRIBAL YOUTH ACTIVITIES
ANNUAL SUMMIT
The Cow Creek Tribal Youth Council are affiliated members of UNITY (United National Indian
Tribal Youth) organization.
Each summer eligible Tribal Youth Council members travel to UNITY’s National Conference where we share, learn, experience, and developlong-lasting friendships with other Native youth.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Part of the Youth council’s goals are to be active within
the community in which we live, helping others.
These community service projects are a few examples of how we get involved and give back.
UNITY
The Cow Creek Tribal Youth Council are affiliated members of UNITY (United National Indian Tribal Youth) organization.
Each summer eligible Tribal Youth Council members travel to UNITY’s National Conference where we share, learn, experience, and developlong-lasting friendships with other Native youth.
CULTURAL ENGAGEMENT
One of the primary goals of our Youth Council is to educate cultural awareness and knowledge to its members. In doing so, we hold workshops
and attend cultural events.
The Youth Council prides itself on the projects and
activities they have engaged in for the Tribe.
It is just as important for the Youth to learn these traditions that have been passed down by their Elders.
FUNDRAISING EFFORTS
In efforts to continually support the social activities,
events, and leadership trainings the Youth Council continues to bring on its
own fundraising projects.
In our newest fundraising project, the Council sought out tocreate the Tribe’s first Cow Creek blanket which was designed by one of its
members. Working closely with our Natural Resource’s Culture Dept. they were
able to design a thoughtful and beautiful creation that Cow Creek people can be
proud of.
